I like the snow but this was overkill. The college is in fact still open though instead of 8:30 it's 9:30 I gotta be there because they have the big parking lot they have to plow. So it was good I have an extra hour to get there. Truck's ready to go now. I have a fish test in class today so that's why i'm going, otherwise id've stayed here.

I hooked my hamster up with a new house today........ I cut a rectangle hole in two adjacent sides of a model box lid, and made a tunnel for one of the sides from a Little Debbie cake box.... They like dens and tunnels! and Anything you put in their habitat, they will explore. They're very inquisitive.

Kinda cool watching him make his bed from the ripped-up paper towel I put in for him.........

Ahhhh the memories of having hamsters and gerbils. Toss an empty toilet paper roll in there and watch them run thru it and chew it..... Fun times.

They're good little pets, just Not for kids! I pretty much let him do whatever he wants to........ He lets me know when he wants in his ball by chewing the wire cover of his habitat. They live up to three years if taken care of!   :)

They live better if they don't escape, and get stuck in sticky Rat Traps......

My kids still remember me dancing around the kitchen 25 years ago, with a Flour Covered Hamster, hanging from my thumb by his teeth (they are really sharp) trying to get him free of the trap. I did  finally succeed, and he lost a finger and his tail, but lived another 18 months.

Ah memories1

Taking our two granddaughters to see Santa at a local Farming Museum and heritage railway. Hade two rides on the line.

These are the locos we rode with, top’n’tailed on a single coach.

My son came by last night and hung my new model Carney cases which I filled today.

Just need to put the doors on.

Would be full but some are too tall for the spaces.

The peace and quiet at home is what I find so pleasing right now. However, that'll all change when I resume transporting the little monsters in the school bus on Monday. However, my boss pays me enough. 🙂

Wife showed me this shirt and said she could wear it all year...

Yeah, you know you're getting old when you hope Santa leaves ibuprofen and Bengay in your stocking and a back support belt under the tree.

Got a few inches of snow here outside Cleveland last evening and over night...my plow guy plowed the driveway about 3:30am.   Supposed to snow more today and tonight, but got off pretty mildly compared to 20-30 miles from here up along I-90 and the North Coast heading towards Ashtabula and Erie..they got hit hard the last few days.

I guess another thing that pleased me is that on Thursday I had put up these wooden posts with the orange tape tied around the top of each and put them in the ground marking the perimeter of my grandma's driveway so the guy who does the snow removal knows were the driveway is and so now he's been doing a good job as I had mentioned in "What irked you today" the bad job he did prior to my putting the markers up.

I have to get one of those Chimenea thingies now that we have a concrete patio instead of the wood deck where we used to live. I'll stick with a nice west coast Zinfandel though.
