trick my mixer
He did a super job on restoring this but well worth it especially since it is a " PETERBILT "
maxwell48098
The article in Overdrive Magazine was also in this month's Heavy Duty Trucking. Some nice detail on what the restoratioon took. Now it just needs an electricla system. A.J.
pharoah
It's strange how small those trucks were compared to what they have now. A Ford Super Duty pickup is almost as big.

Guest
restored to its factory glory, 1st year peterbilt Factory glory? Not sure about that...
Ace-Garageguy
Fine old truck, nice to see it brought back. I think there may be a little mistake in the article, saying the team had over "200" hours in the resto. Make that more like 2000. 200 hours is ONE guy working FIVE WEEKS. Nope. It's strange how small those trucks were compared to what they have now. A Ford Super Duty pickup is almost as big. Yes, the pickups are all stupidly huge these days, for no good reason (no functional reason, anyway).
Rob Hall
Neat looking truck..the cab shape resembles those of much later Peterbilts. Would make a neat model.
Harry P.
I think there may be a little mistake in the article, saying the team had over "200" hours in the resto. Make that more like 2000. I was thinking the exact same thing. 200 hours? That's all? Can't be... Neat truck.

Aaronw
That is neat (both the 1-1 and Tim's scale version). You can see the family resemblance between those early Peterbilt trucks and the last of the Fageol trucks. San Francisco Fire Department's 1936 Fageol rescue truck. mackinac359
Fageol's grille would be a major feat to make in scale.
Modelmartin
Back in the late 80s/early 90s Herb Deeks kitted the 39 Peterbilt in 1/32 scale.
Aaronw
I don't know Tim, the grill on that '39 doesn't exactly look like it was easy.
