Mike Kucaba Posted August 22, 2014 Posted August 22, 2014 Read all his articles over the years while in SAE (before there was MCM ) I didn't even build trucks but there was always some nugget of info. I think I sold him some truck kits or parts too.

His magazine project is ready to launch but he has yet to receive enough interest in order to start publishing. I was very surprised to learn this from him. As many of you know, Mark is a professional model builder with over 30 years experience. He is also an expert on Off Highway, Oil Field and Logging trucks. This magazine could be a tremendous source of reference material and "how to" articles that would benefit everyone in our hobby. It would be a tragedy to lose this fantastic opportunity. Please contact Mark Savage soon to show your support and interest. Thank You! Contact Mark at - savagemodels@peoplepc.com come on men u heard it from Joe ,and what he forgot to mention is he will also be releasing his product line that he has in the last catalog if enough interested..as soon as i get a copy i will post it..so please e-mail Mark, this will be a great magazine and parts for your rigs..
Superpeterbilt Posted November 12, 2014 Posted November 12, 2014 I had contacted him a month or two ago and have been waiting for an update. I encourage any builder to get on board with this. C'mon guys!!

Swamp Dog Posted November 14, 2014 Author Posted November 14, 2014 As much as I'd like to order from him, I'm not confident he will follow through. I've got all 4 commercial truck modeler magazines he released in 1989. If you read his publications back then, you wouldn't be surprised he's held off publishing. He quit publishing CTM because he felt there was lack of interest and even commented about his discouragement in articles in the last couple issues. I'll e-mail my interest but I'm not holding my breath. first of all he's not going to realease the magazine unless he has enough support..No money up front..an yea the reason he quit last time was not enough support , thats how any magazine runs..don't knoch him down befor he gets up..
Andrew Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I contacted Mark also a few weeks ago and posted the information on a UK truck model forum but there was little response, even though there are quite a few US truck modellers on there. Truck Model World magazine almost closed earlier this year but was sold to a new publisher last minute though it is now going to a bi-monthly publication. Perhaps with forums and Face Book there isn't the appetite for a printed magazine. It would be a shame though, I much prefer to have a magazine to look at!
