chunkypeanutbutter Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I think that seat looks great in there,
crazyrichard Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 well just went on with the seat , maybe i got the best of both worlds now .. its got more flair and style but still fits in the whole shop atmosphere just made a baseplate to cover the ripped of tiles on the floor (previous glued bench) and made a raising block , angled the sofa on there , closed the tunnelgap , added a chrome logo and made arm rests and painted those chrome
gasser59 Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I like it, looks great. The arm rests really finish it off.
72 Charger Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 I must admit it does look a lot better now with the arm rests on .Im just so used to seeing finished parts in your garage Richard .It did look a little odd before but now it fits right in . Keep at it
Ramfins59 Posted December 27, 2014 Posted December 27, 2014 This just keeps getting better and better each day.
crazyrichard Posted December 27, 2014 Author Posted December 27, 2014 thnx all !! from the department of tiny stuff > made a coffee mug ..... drilled open some sprue , bend some brass wire for the handle .... and put it on the table .. with a metal coffe strirrer in it , man that was really tiny
michael1969 Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 A need that i think missing, a rolling tool cabinet(like a snap-on tool box). I have a plan for a garage that I can admit will never look this good. Only way for that to happen is for you to build it for me. Your work is amazing.
crazyrichard Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 thnx ! and yes stuff like that will be added , but i build what comes up atm ... its like i dont build stuff in a certain order lol like so much will be added tool boxes included , also a partswasher , acyteleen bottles on a cart , jack stands , extension cord .. tools and so on and well about your garage just build .. if i compare this garage to my previous thisone is 10 times more detailed .. every time you grow and want to do better , thats the fun right just started on the first hand wrench , a test .. printed on thick paper and cut the largest one out ... that was way to shin .. so i used the cut hole in the paper sheet as a template and put thin plastic under it and went over it with a black marker .. then started cutting filing and sanding the plastic untill i got this > one issue is its hard to make anything smaller then this and since i dont want to buy anything and build everything myself i have to really try hard to make smaller ones .. also some need to be duble sided and some with rings .. hmmmmzzzz put some chrome on the wrench , here next to the drill for an idea now srewdrivers and a hammer and stuff like that will be easy those are not as hard .. take a screwdriver i have not tryed one yet but i know if i cut a steel pin (like on the first picture) the edge is already flat , then i cut the pin to the right size and heat it and put some plastic on it as a handle , sand that and paint that and done .. a hammer is also easy some wood , styrene hammer head , paint that silver ... its the wrenches that will be hard to make smaller now..
crazyrichard Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 pffft managed to make a tiny wrench , still needs sanding shape wise .. but its tiny .. now not neirly as nice as etched wrenches but i just want to try and make it myself and add to the ..... now the idea is to make a set going up in size and put it on a plate on the wall i think then it will look nice next to the pervious one , i put that one on the lift leg
crazyrichard Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 make or break ... made a wood panel and covered that in brass plate , now i can hammer in pins to hang the tools on .. there are fancy systems to hang them but i like this , self made and they looked best like this .... now when the panel is painted and the tools chromed .. i hope they look good on this shot i feel they are right .. just because everything else is handcrafted .. and etched tools would maybe be too perfect in here ??
crazyrichard Posted December 28, 2014 Author Posted December 28, 2014 i scrapped the self made wrenches .. just wasnt what i wanted after paint i didnt like them , so those i will buy ... i have to look where i can order tools and thats easy to ship the board and 3 wrenches where not for nothing , i just glued it in the back of my ratrod lol
72 Charger Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Hey richard KFS does a nice PE set of tools

crazyrichard Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 (edited) thnx guys .. just started on a toolcart .. very rough start and in rough primer .... made a top and bottom , drawr from copper plate choosen to make old style handles instead of modern grips that are like the strips over the whole width of a drawr ... the top drawrs got smaller pin handles and i added a side handle to push or pull the cart around Edited December 30, 2014 by crazyrichard
crazyrichard Posted December 30, 2014 Author Posted December 30, 2014 after dinner i pushed on and beside the dress up details the cart is finished .. i will make a second one and also a partscart almost choosen red for the color but then made it beige brown and i must say i liked it .... i painted all the handles chrome , made anti slip matts from waterproof fine sandpaper for the top and inside of the drawr ... national hotrod association and ford decal ... i also washed the floor , now these are not ment to be tiles but vinyl in checker motive .. so it needed to look like people walked on there for a while on the picture i see on the bench armrest there is a slight white blurr from the superglue .. i need to wipe that off .. pictures show everything right
