chunkypeanutbutter Posted December 16, 2014 Posted December 16, 2014 You should make a tabletop box-and-pan brake... Really useful for in the shop.
crazyrichard Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 yes would be cool .. but i have to think good now , not a whole lot of space left
crazyrichard Posted December 16, 2014 Author Posted December 16, 2014 thicker gassline on top ...and below i roleld a copper pipe out of real copper sheet ..

gasser59 Posted December 17, 2014 Posted December 17, 2014 Those looks so much better with a bit of weathering on them. Keep it going Richard.
crazyrichard Posted December 18, 2014 Author Posted December 18, 2014 well guys the hardest part for me was to get some signs on the wall and make it fit the atmosphere and not look to much like i glued on some random posters .. i tried , printed and .... so many signs posters , shoplogos .. everything i then held against the wall was like nooo not nice .. but tonight i printed this awsome old chassis poster and i liked it above the benchcabinet ... then soon i got the idea to put loose signs on top of the cabinet and i loved that .. creates depth and just looks cool ... the chassis poster is just paper with clear tape layer and the small signs on the benchcabinet are glued on copperplate
gasser59 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Those signs do look great. Nice touch. What's next?
Petetrucker07 Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Heres a suggestion. Maybe you could put some cast off from the lathe caused by lube or coolant. Either that or make a splash guard to protect the wall. Perhaps same with the drill press.
crazyrichard Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 thnx guys ..... and yes i will do something weathering wise on the machines .. still thinking how and what .. and next .. hmm dont know maybe a partswasher ?
crazyrichard Posted December 19, 2014 Author Posted December 19, 2014 added some steel pins on the poster you asked it clayton so i just made a splash plate , i put a layer of clear glue on it and sanded real aluminium above it so the flakes stuck on it , kind of looks like lube with alu flakes , then made a few bigger flakes from real alu
72 Charger Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Fantastic Richard cant wait to see what comes next.
Petetrucker07 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 That looks awesome. Im just speachless. This whole is jaw dropping man.
southpier Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 those signs are looking good. the ones over the bench vise !!! (sorry for the oversight)
landman Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Richard, the Indian motorcycle sign reminded me of this one. Read this thread someday, this guy thinks like you. He can see a bobby pin and think "that would make a nice so and so..." Hope you enjoy it.

Belugawrx Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) Richard, your Dio looks absolutely beautiful! The detail you have added to every piece is outstanding! I keep looking this one up to see it, again and again. I especially like all the woodwork you have done... Very, very nice Cheers to you oh... and by the way, all of your beginning pics (first posts) have vanished!?! It sure would be nice to see how all of this began. Edited December 20, 2014 by Belugawrx
crazyrichard Posted December 20, 2014 Author Posted December 20, 2014 (edited) thnx guys much apriciated !!! and hmm weird how could the pics disapeir ? i have to look into that i found a calender online and opened it into photoshop , changed it a bit and with a brush tool and zoomed in written like tasks and project stuff in the squares of diffrent days .. in fact with a magnifing glass you could read it lol here the splashplate with real alu shavings and grinddust is better visible als on the mill you see a oil can / tin i just made today the tin can ... now i took some styrene rod from sprue out of a kit (bigger diameter) drilled it open and made it look like a real can edge by scraping a larger drill bil against it after drilling the first hole .. then made a label in photoshop , some metalcoat on top and black inside total vieuw of that corner Edited December 20, 2014 by crazyrichard
wayne swayze Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Absolutely love looking in each day to see what you have added. Just amazing creativity!
crazyrichard Posted December 20, 2014 Author Posted December 20, 2014 thnx wayne !! just made a rattle can .. man thats is some fidely stuff ... smalllllll got a platic rod from a lolypop .. a unidentified plastic thingy , a steel pin as nozzle ... rough start sprayed it chrome with my 1:1 rattle can chrome lol and due to the size printing wasnt really a option , so i dove into my scrap decal box and used this for a brand label , really stands out and is sharp finished it off with black between the can and nozzle and glued it in the dio bi was real happy with the result , for me i think a rattle can is one of those hardest to make things .. in the end it was easy and i made it in no time but still its supersmall and you have to have the right creative moment lol
