Albert Moore Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 (edited) Hi Gang- This is my just completed 1/25 Revell T-bucket Ford, built from the 'Rat Rods Amigos' boxing. I didn't get carried with any extra detailing outside of adding a few parts from other kits as I wanted a simple, hassle-free shelf build. The extras include a sewing pin shifter, five spoke rims from a Revell 1929 Ford Model A pickup, and headlights from a Revell 1932 Ford. The windshield frame is from the kit, though I chopped it down a bit for a more contemporary style. The decals came from various sheets, while the license plates are from Gopher Graphics. The finish is Dupli-Color Flat Black with a satin clear coat (Model Master Acryl semi-gloss to be exact). For the finishing touch, a skull was added to the radiator shroud (sourced from a diecast rat rod model). Comments/critiques welcomed, thanks for looking! Cheers, Albert Edited August 29, 2014 by Albert Moore

DynoMight Posted August 28, 2014 Posted August 28, 2014 Cool! Are the wheels stationary or do they turn? Looks great...

jbwelda Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 great looking T! that has to be the Ed Roth Tweedy Pie kit? I have that amigos pack you started with and yours really looks better than the little hot wheels one that came with it! jb
Sixties Sam Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 Very nice rod! I like the finish and the wheels/tires! Good work! Sam
Shardik Posted August 29, 2014 Posted August 29, 2014 I like this... a lot. The lack of fussy detail goes completely unnoticed with a model this cleanly built. The finishes and the overall "vibe" are just so right. Bravo!
Albert Moore Posted August 29, 2014 Author Posted August 29, 2014 Thanks for all the kind comments, I greatly appreciate them! @ Glenn- the wheels are stationary. They were able to be repositioned until I accidentally glued the left side spindle while attaching the steering arm. Thanks again y'all! Had a little fun with the photo editing software on my phone- Cheers, Albert
TooOld Posted August 30, 2014 Posted August 30, 2014 That's one great looking traditional T - Bucket , I love it ! Those kits can be really finicky to get straight with all of the little parts , but you nailed it . . . Great job !
Albert Moore Posted August 30, 2014 Author Posted August 30, 2014 Thanks a bunch for the kudos Marty, Peter, Bob, and Bill! Cheers, Albert
