Young iron
If it's always a satisfaction to finish a kit, imagine how it is after a three years break. This is very simple. A good old Amt/Mpc kit. No vinyl top, no funky interior. Just minimal engine wiring and details, Keith Mark decals, and different wheels : 1967 Coronet R/T Magnum 500 wheels on Firestone Wide Ovals with painted redlines. I realized after paint that it was more or less a clone of the 1:18 Die Cast ERTL 1969 Olds. But it seems that this Topaz metallic over black combo was common on 1969 advertisings. A few defaults are still here and there. The body has damaged A-pillars, but I didn't want to throw it away. They're repaired but not perfect. The BMF job is not my best one ever, but engraving is a bit to flat, and Hey, I just go back to the Hobby ! 1969 Olds 4-4-2 400ci motor, with W30 option : Twin-snorkel ram induction, red inner fenderwells and splash shields. Will soon move the upper hose toward right. Pics always show the unexpected defaults. European brand Motip red primer (that's a GM !!!), paint and clear. No polishing or so, just 1200-grit sanding between layers (3 of each) and use of spray-can-to-gun adapter. Plastic bumper 1:1 paint and BMF inside. Seats are less shiny in person, but I should have grained the surface with a final ultra-thin coat. Family... Thx Next !!!
Nacho Z
I think that it looks great! You did a nice job with it. I like that last picture too, there are some nice looking models in there.

Snake45
Very nice indeed! Gold is a hard color to pull off but you did a great job with it. Model on!
w451973
Nice work. I painted one gold also. The a pillers on these do suck and break often so don't worry about it. I also like your choice of wheels that closely resemble the better looking SS1's. Also, good job on no trunk decals. Everyone always add those even tho they are incorrect. Young iron
Thank you for all these comments ! It's truly a pleasure to be part of this community, and get its congrats. I actually first put the rear stripes on it. But since I found no pictures such as on the Web, I did some research. And found that they were incorrect. Thanks Dennis that you confirmed. BTW, yes, Mangodart is one of my best friends. And his models are always outstanding.

IJ001
Hey folksHope you don't mind me resurrecting this thread. Benjamin, you mentioned that you've used "Keith Mark decals" - Why ??, are they better than the ones supplied in the kit ??. I have the same kit and plan on building it in the coming months and just wondered, especially if I could get them in red (to go over a silver paint-job). Ian.
