I'm not sure what direction you're wanting to go with the build, or if you're 100% set on '55-'57, but Race Motor Replicas does have a listing for a '55-'57 crew cab LCF (phantom or possibly aftermarket conversion, never a factory body) as well as a '58/'59 7000 LCF. I'm not really familiar with their bodies or their quality, though.

I'm looking to do a late 50's GM car hauler and a Chevrolet parts truck. These types of trucks are usually medium duty, day cab style trucks. The haulers of the time only needed to carry four cars.

Ok, I see what you're after. If you're not adverse to the quad headlamp front of the later truck, the '58/'59 7000 might be just the ticket, if you cant find the '55-'57 cab from R & R. The 7000 is essentially the same as the 5000, just with a higher payload, and slightly different wheelbase options. The 5000 (2 ton) was available in112 5/8 (5100), 136 5/8 (5400), and 160 5/8 (5700), the 7000 (2 1/2 ton) and 9000 (2 1/2 HD) were available in 112 5/8 (7100/9100), 124 5/8 (7200/9200), and 172 5/8 (7700/9700).

Steve Kohler at Star Models has been great. He confirmed he had the product and I had both cabs within a week. And the cabs really look nice.
