vincen47 Posted July 14, 2019 Posted July 14, 2019 I just took a trip across Lake Michigan on the coal-fired steam-powered SS Badger car ferry. Many trucks make this crossing too. Grabbed a shot of a Brigadier they use to haul coal trailers on board for re-fueling. Plates don’t look current, and the drive tires are bald, but it doesn’t leave the dock area. Rear axle lifts. Also a shot of a Coronado and a beautiful 379 unloading. It’s a neat operation, and a recommended trip.
gotnitro? Posted August 20, 2019 Posted August 20, 2019 Spotted these out cruising the other day I have a soft spot for an Oshkosh and this work horse definitely fits the bill. This truck was resting in the sun the same highway dept the Brockway 361 I'm putting together. A fellow car enthusiast has this KW for a daily driver .
Fat Brian Posted August 22, 2019 Posted August 22, 2019 I've seen this truck running around for a while and finally found it sitting to snap some pics. It's a Ford Louisville cab that's been narrowed to a single seater. This truck is used to haul telephone poles offroad for installation, you just stack them up on either or both sides of the cab and offload them with the crane. The cab has a rear exit door so you can block both sides if you want.
TarheelRick Posted August 23, 2019 Posted August 23, 2019 Here are a couple I would like to add to the mix. The yellow COE was at a car show, it was built to haul a hot rod the owner was building. The second is a light duty wrecker I saw on the streets of Pusan, ROK on my last trip over there.
Brian Austin Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 I drove the 2+ hours to Hillsborough, New Hampshire to attend a truck show. Not far from the state border I came up on the delivery truck at a classic car / used car dealer. After the truck show I wandered around Hillsborough. I visited the spot where the late Richard Kemp had is open-air truck "museum" along the side of a river. I was there a couple of times about a decade ago. This time around, his barns looked largely unchanged, but the property by the river was all overgrown and I couldn't see the river at that spot. I did find a random old tow truck and some tractors. Downtown I came upon trucks from the Granite State show.
gotnitro? Posted August 24, 2019 Posted August 24, 2019 Quad cab 5 ton truck how awesome. Appears to be an A2 variant based solely on the rims . The family was hanging around a towns Old Home Days event and car show where this Ford caught my eye..
Brian Austin Posted September 2, 2019 Posted September 2, 2019 OK Using Google Street View might be cheating a little, but I saw a Bulldog Mack behind a window at a heavy haulage company's yard garage in Holbrook, MA this afternoon. Their website shows some of their haulage trucks I didn't really get to see as I passed by. https://www.hallamore.com/
signguy2108 Posted September 14, 2019 Posted September 14, 2019 I was helping a friend of mine that has a tree business, we were about 30 miles from home, bout a mile down a dirt road. all this was in 1 yard, the moving van trailers, other than surfacerust, were in remarkable shape. The converted step van still runs, as does the old ford winch truck. and then i seen something else......i realized the old 750 honda chopper, I owned it for (for 3 days!) back in '74!
Mike77 Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 (edited) Driving through Colorado last week I happened upon the "Reaper" at a rest area west of Denver. It was awesome to see such a huge Kenworth...it even has a Harley inside! The other pics a rig I saw on me trip... Edited October 6, 2019 by Mike77
Goose1957 Posted October 17, 2019 Posted October 17, 2019 Snapped this pic today at the trucking company close to my job. They always have some cool loads. See my earlier posts. I figured they would have some this week since last weekend was the big antique auto show at Hershey PA. Sorry the pics so far away, but I snap my pics from the public roads, I'm not going to tresspass on private property without permission. Would make a cool build with the auto rack reissue announced. Jeff
Brian Austin Posted December 1, 2019 Posted December 1, 2019 I found these all today very close together.
delta99 Posted January 31, 2020 Posted January 31, 2020 Pickering is a small local company. They only have 3 trucks, but they are sweet heavy haulers. I see them running around all the time. I finally snapped a pic of one.
