ZIL 111V Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 (edited) Big fan of Ferrari graceful designs of the 60s, 70s early 80s (today not so much! ) 308 series was a magnificent design, still a beauty even today in 2014... got to love those lines Monogram excellent 1980 308 GTB 1/24th kit, straight from the box, must admit that for such a simple "curbside" kit, it turned out great, this was the latest edition; Revell AG " 308 30th anniversary" 2006 box. MM Champagne Gold + clear, 2 tone/cream/black interior, testor gold wheels, plated in...$$$witzerland! Edited December 24, 2014 by ZIL 111V
Gluebomber Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Nice build. One of my favorite Ferraris!
kilrathy10 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Nice work, Bud....That's a good looking model of a seriously classic car.....I like the color on this thing, too....
peekay Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Looks great! I also prefer the older Ferrari designs but I suspect I'll eventually like the current ones too - if I live long enough.
atomicholiday Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Nice job! I always liked that body style.
unclescott58 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Never been a fan of the mid-engine Ferraris. But a nice good on the build. Scott
sjordan2 Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Very well done. The only car that ever came close to being "The People's Ferrari."
tmathew1us Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Beautiful color combination. These 308s in 1:1 are surprisingly affordable, but Ferrari maintenance is a wallet-drainer. Nice job on this model, don't see too many of these built.
ZIL 111V Posted December 20, 2014 Author Posted December 20, 2014 Thanks to all! Indeed quite "entry level": popular model, but also appreciated by 70s "top notch" F1 Legends: True that the 308/328 are in the most affordable bracket of "used" Ferraris, but indeed parts &.... maintenance/labor fees are "A$$$$tronomical"!....Prefer sticking with my "populist" (a bit heavier!) brand new Challenger!
janositamas Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Nice job, congrats, unusual color but suits the car well!
christian-w Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 This color look pretty good on the 308 and proofs again: a Ferrari can wear any color I like Not-Red-Ferraris Funny: I have the 308 in the same color - but 1/43 in scale. I love the 308 or 328. The design is the best ever on a Ferrari. Take a look to your first picture - beautiful lines <3 The only thing I don't like: the license plate sticked on the front hood. I would have it placed to the front bumper as usual. But it's a really nice model anyway.
dino246gt Posted December 24, 2014 Posted December 24, 2014 Beautiful build and cool color. As an owner of a 1:1 I must say that maintenence is really no more expensive than any older somewhat expensive car. I love it! My 1:1 and your model!!!
Pizzwizz24 Posted December 25, 2014 Posted December 25, 2014 One of the very first ferraris that made me a huge fan at a young age! Absolutely love this car and your build really did do it justice. Nice color choice. Suits the car very well.
