Daf57 Posted January 3, 2015 Posted January 3, 2015 Hi all, I've had this model on pre-order over at Mega Hobby for over a year. I finally sent Moebius a note asking the status. They said that production was running behind and should be early 2015. I hope so! I noticed the other thread had been shut down due to lack of info ... sorry if this is not an appropriate post. I've really been looking forward to this one. Maybe a few others have as well so I wanted to post this small update.
Sixx Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 Wait for it....wait for it !!!!!!! :-) Gonna be cool ! Woohoo!
Dave Van Posted January 4, 2015 Posted January 4, 2015 WELL worth the wait.......I saw it at Toledo show....
sirbuildalot Posted January 6, 2015 Posted January 6, 2015 (edited) Get knee deep in another model, and the next new model will be shipped! Edited January 6, 2015 by sirbuildalot
DaveM Posted January 9, 2015 Posted January 9, 2015 If you want it to get here really quickly, there is only one thing to do. Scratchbuild one!
impcon Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Maybe they are fixing the hub cap issue after all. The test shots have 3/4 ton hub caps and not the correct 1/2 ton ones. It's not the end of the world but when I mentioned it to the Moebius guy, he said that it was too late to change that error. It just seems a shame after all the delays and obvious time and effort put into these kits that they would let something as obvious as hub caps go. I really have always liked that style of truck and plan to get several - wrong hub caps or not.
my80malibu Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 (edited) I usually don't use stock wheels, or caps, but it would be good if they did fix them. Edited January 10, 2015 by my80malibu

my80malibu Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 (edited) They told me by mid year 2015 Not surprising being the product has had quite a few delays, or false release expectations. Since it was announced, it was being made into a kit. Edited January 13, 2015 by my80malibu
Nova-ss Posted January 19, 2015 Posted January 19, 2015 I'm waiting to.I really want 3/4 and 1 ton rims only.I don't build to many 1/2 pickups.this one I'm going to convert it to heavy pickup.
Chuck Most Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 The plastic parts have been approved for production- instruction sheet, decals, and box design are currently in development. If it's as good as the last test shot, it should be pretty good. Not that I'd know, or anything... ^Those are AMT parts pack tires, but other than that it's out of the box.
mikemodeler Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 Thanks for sharing Chuck! I will be getting a few of these for sure.
mk11 Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 (edited) Wow, Chuck, that's beautifully done mike Edited January 8, 2018 by mk11

my80malibu Posted January 21, 2015 Posted January 21, 2015 I was really beginning to wonder, if these trucks ever existed in the first place.

kelson Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 That looks nice!! although most rivet counters are not appreciated,i'm glad that many spoke out to what was wrong on the test shots and Moebius listened! Can't wait to get a few of these!!.

Daf57 Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 Yeah! Thanks for the update and photo, Chuck!!
Atmobil Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 I need to make more room on my shelfs for these. I guess I have to build a lot of models to make the room for the new kits arriving over the comming year.
