Sergey Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Hello colleagues! One of my Russian friends is building a replica of this truck. What is the white long thing hanging under trailer? Here is his WIP: http://trucksinscale.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=107
lapazleo Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Loading ramp? Yep for the family car during a move.
Petetrucker07 Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 Special exhibits and concert trucks use those long ramps for displays and equipment
Mackvision Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 The "white thing" under the trailer is indeed a loading ramp, more commonly called a "walk-board" by movers,i was leased to Atlas Van Lines for 23 years. The trailer pictured is an older model, newer moving van ramp carriers are now fully enclosed, the underhang under the trailer is commonly called a "belly-box" used for storage of the ramp, plywood, decking bars, extra equipment,etc............................Mark
