blunc Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Ben, You're absolutely correct about "With Honors". Making Mr. Right
CorvairJim Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 I know that this one has alreeady been named, but I have to add that the car is still in good hands. I saw it on display just last year at the Valley Forge, PA. overnight stopover of "The Hemmings Motor News Great Race". The current owner of "The Leslie Special" is none other thanthe great-grandson of George Schuster, the man who drove the Thomas Flyer in the REAL 1907 New-York-to-Paris "Great Race".
CorvairJim Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Making Mr. Right And you indeed are "Mr. Right" on this one! For my next Corvair selection, may I present this one?:
CorvairJim Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Aussie Movie and its not a Dart How about "The Kings of Mykonos"? While I'm at it, let me bump a couple of cars I've posted over the last few days. There have been a couple of incorrect guesses onthe Caddy, but everybody is quiet on the big Buick. (Once again, I apologize for the lousy job I did editing out an identifyable person from the Buick's photo... I'm no Harry!) My hint was that both of these cars are seen regularly in current TV shows, although maybe not every episode.: Edited February 4, 2015 by CorvairJim
Helix Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Very close Jim, in fact I'll give you that one mate, well done! The "Wog Boy" was the first movie, then they came out with Wog Boy 2 Kings of Mykonos.... Cheers Ray ps: The car is a 1969 Chrysler Valiant VF Hardtop Edited February 4, 2015 by Helix
ChrisBcritter Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 "Toni" Curtis? Peter "Faulk"? Give the fool who wrote that his just desserts: "You're banished! I'm getting a new typesetter! Banished! Banished! Banished!" By the way, I recall there was more than one Leslie Special built (three IIRC); this one's in the Tupelo Auto Museum:
Petetrucker07 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 And you indeed are "Mr. Right" on this one! For my next Corvair selection, may I present this one?: The Gremlins
CorvairJim Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 The Gremlins ... And the funny thing is that therer was not a single AMC Gremlin in the movie or any of the sequels (that I know of... ). OK, you guys are doing pretty well on my Corvair posts so far. This one ought to be a snap!:
Badluck 13 Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 ... And the funny thing is that therer was not a single AMC Gremlin in the movie or any of the sequels (that I know of... ). OK, you guys are doing pretty well on my Corvair posts so far. This one ought to be a snap!: Zodiac
chunkypeanutbutter Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 Top one is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. "Can't stop here... This is bat country."
chunkypeanutbutter Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) And is that last one Mean Streets? Kinda looks like it. Nope, never mind. Edited February 4, 2015 by chunkypeanutbutter
CorvairJim Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) Daddyfink, your blue T-Bird is from "Thelma and Louise", and the black Connie MkIII is from "The French Connection". I can't place the red '71 Impala ragtop, but ain't she a pretty thing? Edited February 4, 2015 by CorvairJim
Scale-Master Posted February 4, 2015 Posted February 4, 2015 (edited) The Continental with the Euro plate is from The French Connection.Edit: Oh, I see someone beat me to that one... Edited February 4, 2015 by Scale-Master

ChrisBcritter Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) @Chris- "To Live and Die in LA." Was gonna post that soon myself. Very good! The '75 Impala convertible (CA license Z FATCAT) was being driven by my (then future) boss; and he wasn't a stunt driver either - just an extra. Since he didn't get a credit, I made this for him to hang in his office: (We're back on speaking terms.) Edited February 5, 2015 by ChrisBcritter
